David Q. Ouellet was born in Québec City, Canada in 1952. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa in 1977.

He has always been fascinated with words. He speaks fluent English and French and believes it is the 3 tortuous years of studying Latin in high school that led to his love of words. He feels he is one of the luckiest persons alive being able to get paid for something he loves so much.

He especially loves receiving letters from WONDERWORD fans.

During his formative years, he worked in the oil industry, airport security management, the printing business and as an intern on Canada's Parliament Hill.

When not making WONDERWORDS, he keeps busy as a consultant.

His wife, Sophie, whom he married Aug 9, 2003, is actively involved in WONDERWORD. It is the first marriage for both.

David has 2 stepsons, Philippe and Francois and a 10 year old cat, Felicia
